The inaugural ceremony of the National Gold Cup Football Tournament Boys and Girls (Under-17)-2025 at the district level was held in Lalmonirhat with the slogan "Change the country, Change the world" with the aim of building a new Bangladesh. The game was organized by the Lalmonirhat District Administration and Lalmonirhat District Sports Association at 11 am on Wednesday (January 24) at the Lalmonirhat District Stadium ground. Lalmonirhat District Sports Officer Md. Asaduzzaman presided over the event as the chief guest and Lalmonirhat Deputy Commissioner H M Raqib Hayder was the chief guest. Superintendent of Police Md. Tariqul Islam was the special guest. Tournament Committee member Anisur Rahman Ladla, Sonali Aotit Club convener Abdul Hakim, former player Abul Kalam Bakul spoke. At that time, Lalmonirhat District Sports Organization members Jaherul Haque Jihad, Abu Sufian, Lalmonirhat Sadar Upazila Sports Organization Ad Hoc Committee members Nurjamal Manju, Ekramul Haque, Khaledur Rahman, Helal Hossain Kabir and other members of Lalmonirhat Sadar Upazila Sports Organization were present.
