The 'Three Zero Theory' debate competition was held with the full cooperation of Lalmonirhat District Administration and the initiative of Lalmonirhat Bandhusabha.
Details

The "Three Zero Theory" model is one of the most popular and effective models in the world today for achieving financial independence, creating a skilled workforce, and improving the environment. It is based on achieving three important goals: zero poverty, zero unemployment, and zero net carbon emissions. Achieving these requires youth, technology, good governance, and social business. The debate competition at the Youth Festival and BSCIC Entrepreneur Fair in Lalmonirhat on February 16 discussed the 'Three Zero Theory'. The topic of the debate, organized by the Lalmonirhat Bandhushaba, was 'Only young people can implement the Three-Zero concept'. The debate team of Lalmonirhat Government Girls' High School spoke in favor and the debate team of Lalmonirhat Government High School spoke against. The Lalmonirhat district administration provided overall support. The speakers from the opposition party presented in their speeches how young people are transforming the concept of social business into reality, how they are emerging as entrepreneurs using new technologies, and how they are bringing positive change to the world. The story of the victory of young people in the July Uprising also came up. The party speakers also say that the youth are ensuring that there is no harm to the environment and that carbon emissions are reduced through these initiatives. In addition to eliminating unemployment and poverty, they are paying special attention to ensuring that their initiatives do not harm the environment. That is why the implementation of the Three-Zero theory is possible only with the help of the youth. On the other hand, the speakers of the opposition party say that it is not possible to implement this initiative only through the youth. Because, the youth have less experience. They are more likely to make mistakes. In this case, our senior, experienced people can play the right role. The youth may have many new ideas to become new entrepreneurs; but senior citizens have the experience of how to turn those ideas into reality. Therefore, the leading role of senior experienced people is needed in the implementation of the Three-Zero theory. Masum Reza, former president of Jahangirnagar University Debate Organization, Lalmonirhat Government College lecturer Tajul Islam, and lecturer Asadullah Hill Ghalib were present as judges in the debate. Masum Reza served as the moderator. The Honorable guest was Additional Deputy Commissioner of Lalmonirhat Md. Mahbubur Rahman. In his speech, he congratulated both the teams for their excellent presentations. He also thanked the Lalmonirhat Bandhusava for organizing the debate on a timely topic. He also praised the social volunteer activities that the Bandhusava does. Lalmonirhat Government Girls' High School won the debate. The best speaker was affirmative team leader Kaneez Ishrat.
